only to the big US studios. The business accounts for around half
of the UK's total television exports with around 40,000 hours of
programming sold in the last year.
The business manages the annual BBC Showcase festival, a shop
window for the best of British programming, which attracts around
500 buyers from across the globe every year. Broadcasters are able
to watch hundreds of hours of quality programming and snap up the
latest titles from BBC Worldwide's catalogue.
